Black-White Differences in Job Satisfaction, Group Cohesiveness, and Leadership Style

Abstract
Data from three organizations (n = 460) were used to compare the job satisfaction, group cohesiveness, and perception of leadership style of black and white, blue-collar and white-collar, male andfemale workers in a stratified matched sample. The results of this study suggest some differences in work attitudes between black and white workers. The most dissatisfied group of workers were the black white-collar females when compared with their white counterparts. However, for some occupational classes differences in work attitudes seem minimal.
