Abstract
A neonate with a solitary lesion of congenital fibromatosis, that presented as intestinal obstruction, is described. The differential diagnosis of this lesion includes a variety of mesenchymal tumors. Review of the literature revealed that most cases of congenital fibromatosis with visceral involvement show multiple lesions and carry a poor prognosis. If totally excised, solitary intestinal lesions appear to carry an excellent prognosis. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
