Abstract
The gastrointestinal tolerance of azapropazone, a new non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, was studied endoscopically in 14 volunteers with no past history of gastrointestinal disease. Gastrointestinal tolerance to azapropazone given in a daily dose of 1200 mg for a period of 31 days was good. Isolated erosions with mild hyperemia were found in 2 subjects only. No subjective symptoms were noted during the period of the study.
