Abstract
An investigation has been made of the -redistribution effect of quasistatic ion electric microfields on dielectronic recombination. Using the linear-Stark-effect approximation, a hydrogen ion density of is found to produce a threefold enhancement in the rate for the dielectronic recombination process .
