Abstract
Traditional methods of soil cultivation are costly and time-consuming, and they can cause damage to soil structure under adverse weather conditions. Cereal experiments examining the performance of various reduced cultivation equipment have shown that shallow primary cultivations, using a shallow plough or the new NIAE rotary digger, followed by simultaneous secondary cultivation and drilling, using a bridging link, provide substantial economies in costs and energy.
