Abstract
It has been difficult to shape the various samples needed for ferromagnetic resonance, optical, and microwave optical experiments on chromium tribromide. These difficulties have been largely overcome by a technique in which the crystals, rigidly immobilized, are sheared over an edge while immersed in liquid nitrogen. Keywords
