Abstract
Saturation of the observed rate and spectrum of by a 2-GeV "glueball" , and the use of SU(3)×SU(3) Ward identities [incorporating the U(1) axial anomaly] implies the possibility of a substantial cross section (∼0.5 nb) for the process . As a consequence, the predominance of , , and/or final states is expected in both these reactions. A discussion is presented of the role of production in , and in the rise of at CERN ISR energies in the range GeV.
