Abstract
A description of a papular dermatosis of a kind not previously described: cutaneous thesaurismosis from polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) in a woman, age 36, suffering from diabetes insipidus and treated for 6 yr. by daily subcutaneous injections of pitressin-PVP. Histochemical study of the biopsy from a papule has enabled the certain identification of the substance, whose tinctorial affinities are the same as those of PVP found in the liver, the spleen and the lungs of guinea pigs submitted to experimental thesaurization (hypodermic daily injections of PVP), to be made.
