Subcutaneous Calcifications in Leg Ulcers

Abstract
Three cases of calcification (ectopic mineral deposition) associated with leg ulcers are presented, and the literature on this problem is reviewed. Because "calcium" or bone may act as a foreign body, the need for x-ray studies of recalcitrant leg ulcers is emphasized. Our technique for treatment and follow-up of these lesions is noted.
