Measurement of Neutral-Meson Production inπp+πpX0at 13.4 GeV/c

Abstract
We have measured, by the missing-mass technique, spectra of the neutral-meson system X0 produced in πpπpX0 at 13.4 GeV/c. The π0, ρ0, and ω0 appear as well as a broad enhancement at 450 MeV and a narrow peak at 1280 MeV which is interpreted as the D0. Most of the π0 signal and the events around 450 MeV are correlated with N*+ production. The ρ0 peak results primarily from A1A2 decays. We find, however, that the ω0 and D0 are largely uncorrelated with N*+ or X resonances.
