Abstract
In 18 dogs, during nembutal anaesthesia, 0.05 g. of acetylcholine was injd. intraven. in divided doses within 10 min. and 0.2 mg./kg. of atropine was injd. intraven. afterward. Short mechanical or electrical stimulation of the ventricles led to the appearance of a parasystole with simple interference of 2 rhythms with protection of the ectopic center from the sinus beats. Occasionally the ectopic center formed stimuli in groups thus showing an alternation of the length of diastole of the ectopic beats. This shows that group formation may be caused by firing of stimuli in one center. Keywords
