Abstract
By means of DNA-cellulose chromatography an enzyme with endonucleolytlc activity has been Isolated from nuclear acidic protein fraction of mammalian cells. The main active fraction, Bluted at 0.7 M NaCl, affects the velocity sedimentatian of UV-irradiated and alkylated DNA, resulting in a decrease of the molecular weight. The fraction is completely Inactive using native as well as heat-denatured DNA.Keywords
