Abstract
Rabbits immunized with filtrates of cultures of hemolytic streptococcus from erysipelas show cutaneous allergy. Two periods of allergy have been observed, an early and a late phase. The earliest reactions occurring in the first period of allergy can be neutralized with erysipelas immune sera. The rash of scarlet fever and the Dick reaction are apparently allergic reactions to products of Streptococcus scarlatinæ.This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
