Abstract
The extended fine structure of K‐absorption edge of copper in its oxides is studied using a 40 cm curved crystal spectrograph. The observed shift of K‐edges of copper in the oxides is better explained with MO and SRO theories. Separations apparent between the absorption minima corresponding to copper and oxygen atoms in the lattices of two oxides support the MO viewpoints. Keywords
