Spontaneous Subarachnoid Hemorrhage in Sickle Cell Anemia

Abstract
Case presentation of a 25-year-old colored male hospitalized for subarachnoid hemorrhage. Spinal fluid examination revealed mark edly xanthochromic supernatant fluid with an abundance of sickled red blood cells. Clinical course uneventful. Sickle cell preparation re vealed 95% sickled cells at 24 hours. One year following subarachnoid hemorrhage cerebral angiography revealed no evidence of congenital aneurysm.Keywords
