Abstract
Recognition and preference of host plants involve the integration of a complex of neural and metabolic events. These include: the sensing and encoding characteristics of the sense organs, decoding mechanisms in the central nervous system, assessment of acrossfiber patterns and deterrent/stimulant ratios, pre‐ and post‐ingestion factors such as level of satiety, nutritional balance, and experiential factors such as induction and aversionlearning.RÉSUMÉ: Mécanisme de reconnaissance de la plante‐hôteLa reconnaissance et le choix de la plante‐hôte impliquent l'intégration d'un ensemble d‘événements neuraux et métaboliques. Keywords
