Abstract
The possibility of including inelastic effects within a one-channel calculation is discussed, and it is seen that the one-channel calculation agrees with the Bjorken matrix calculation whenever the elastic amplitude has no zero on the physical sheet. An example indicates that this may be the case for scattering in the channel.
