Abstract
Multiple-scattering theory is employed to determine the one-electron Green's function in the presence of a uniform external magnetic field and a dilute random arrangement of atomic potentials. The oscillatory part of the density of states is extracted and used to compute thermodynamic quantities. Explicit expressions for the frequency shifts and the amplitude diminution caused by inserting impurities into the free-electron gas are obtained. Keywords
