RADIOCARBON DATING OF FLANDRIAN POLLEN ZONES IN WALES AND NORTHERN ENGLAND

Abstract
Summary: The boundaries of Flandrian pollen assemblage zones at three sites within the British Isles have been dated by the radiocarbon method and corresponding zones have been found to exhibit a broad synchroneity. The mean sedimentation rates for the deposits fall within the range for other British and north European sites.
