Abstract
Linear-density variation is suggested as the reason for improved dye-uptake in simultaneously draw-textured yarns. The origin of this variation is discussed, and it is shown how it follows from the statistical variation in filament draw ratio caused by migration. Relations between these variations are derived. Keywords
