Abstract
The results of translabyrinthine approach in 100 consecutive patients with acoustic tumours are presented. Maximum size of tumour totally removed was 70 mm. No mortality or severe complication has occurred. Normal facial nerve function postoperatively was noted in 61 patients and a total paresis in 15 patients.
