Parathyroid sonography: A useful aid to preoperative localization

Abstract
Parathyroid sonography was used to identify 19 of 23 glands enlarged to over 5 mm in transverse diameter in 22 patients presenting with hyperparathyroidism, both primary and secondary. The false positive and false negative rates were 5 percent and 6 percent, respectively.Keywords
