Abstract
The reaction between ZrCl4 and (Et2N)3P=CH2 affords the zirconium-substituted vlide [(Et2N)3PCZrCl2]2 (1). The transylidation by-product [(Et2N)3PCH3]Cl is trapped by excess ZrCl4 to give the complex salt [(Et2N)3PCH3]2ZrCl6 (2) the structure of which was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.
