Abstract
The pharmacology of CGP 7174/E after an i.v. bolus injection of 1 g was studied in eight volunteers. Blister and dermabrasion levels of the drug were also measured. The serum half-life of CGP 7174/E was 1.5 h and the distribution volume 7 1. After 2 h, the blister fluid levels approximated to those in serum, and the blister fluid half-life was similar to serum. The dermabrasion levels were about 40% of the concomitant serum levels. The importance of the findings, in particular to burns patients, is discussed. Keywords
