Abstract
Fluoroacetate inhibited respiration in Chlamydomonas reinhardti and greatly decreased the photosynthetic incorporation of C14O2 into glutamate and aspartate. This suggests that the Krebs cycle is important in the light-mediated synthesis of glutamate and aspartate in this alga. Keywords
