Abstract
A number of naturally monophasic variants of normally diphasic Salmonella types were described. These furnished excellent antigens for the production of phase specific serums. When it was possible to isolate the second phase of these variants by growth in agglutinating serum, the phases so obtained did not exhibit normal phase variation and, being monophasic, they also were used successfully in serum production. Keywords
