Abstract
This paper proposes a novel active LC filter that is suitable to MMIC application. The proposed filter achieves a remarkable reduction in chip size because of smaller inductances realized by actively providing low source impedance to the LC filter. An MMIC 7th-order L-band active LC low-pass filter has been demonstrated in only a 2.7 mm/spl times/0.8 mm chip. The insertion gain at the passband is 8.5/spl plusmn/2 dB. The return loss and the isolation are better than 12 dB through the both pass-band and stop-band.<>Keywords
