Abstract
Pulse waveform shaping with a silica-waveguide-based circuit employing an arrayed-waveguide grating pair and an array of amplitude and phase controllers is demonstrated. The frequency components of a modelocked laser have been flexibly synthesised to produce 40 GHz square pulses with various widths. Keywords
