Abstract
Calcium ipodate granules were given to 55 patients 2 h before abdominal computed tomographic (CT) scanning. Opacification of at least one segment of the biliary tract was identified in 87% of the patients. Opacification of the common bile duct helped to define the true lateral border of the pancreas in 42% of the patients. An oral cholecystographic contrast agent administered before abdominal CT is useful when there is clinical concern regarding peripancreatic anatomy. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
