Abstract
Data on handedness of Japanese hybrid flounders (Kareius bicoloratus X Platichthys stellatus) can be interpreted to indicate that asymmetry in flatfishes is transmitted by maternal influence, cyto-plasmic interitance, or may be a threshold effect; the data do not indicate that simple genetic factors alone determine symmetry.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
