Abstract
We are concerned with a recently presented approach to model‐fit assessment in structural equation modeling (Fraas & Newman, 1994). Limitations of Fraas and Newman's application of the binomial test for purposes of fit evaluation are discussed. We suggest that the procedure does not contribute to a more precise fit evaluation than that based on current widely available and routinely used goodness‐of‐fit indexes. This publication has 6 references indexed in Scilit:
