Abstract
The adult and larval morphologies and life history of Ascocotyle Pachycystis sp. n. are described. A. pachycystis is found in the posterior part of the small intestine of the raccoon, Procyon lotor (L.), in south Florida. The first intermediate host is an amnicolid snail, Littoradinops tenuipes (Couper), and the metacercarial stage is organ and host specific for the bulbus arteriosus of the killifish Cyprino-don variegatus Lacepede. This is the first complete life history reported for a species of the genus Ascocotyle. Keywords
