Abstract
The Center for the Graduate Social Work Education of the Hearing Impaired stresses the use of a proper support system which enables a hearing-impaired person to be admitted and study in a hearing system with no reduction in standards or quality of education. The support system includes: interpreters, notetakers, tutors, captioned tapes, and teletypewriters. Professors are trained to cope with necessary adjustments in teaching methods through workshops which instruct them about teaching methods for the hearing impaired. Graduates are initiating services to the hearing impaired where none existed before. Keywords
