Abstract
Suspensions of luteal cells were prepared from samples of human corpora lutea obtained during the luteal phase of menstrual cycles. Addition of oxytocin (1 μmol/l) to the various cell preparations had no effect on either basal production of progesterone or on steroidogenic responses to a range of concentrations of gonadotrophin.
