Abstract
Communication between clinic and school has traditionally been weak. In an attempt to bridge this gap, the Psycho-Educational Center of Coney Island Hospital has prepared prescriptive psychoeducational evaluations of each child referred. In an attempt to determine whether these evaluations are helpful in reeducating children with learning disabilities, teachers and guidance counselors were asked to evaluate the reports sent to them over a six-month period. Response to the questionnaire was positive; analysis of the responses indicates that the psychoeducational evaluations were considered helpful. Specific recommendations for ways to increase the value of these reports are given. Keywords
