Abstract
A sealed‐off cw CO laser with gold electrodes is described. With this simple device we measured a constant, long‐life output power of more than 29 W/m and a maximum efficiency of 15% at room temperature. No auxiliary features, such as a palladium hydrogen extraction tube, are necessary. Keywords
