Abstract
Genetic transformation of P. aeruginosa by chromosomal DNA is reported. Treatment of cells with CaCl2 was necessary to effect this transformation and intermediate cultivation was also essential. The frequency of transformation with intra- and extracellular DNA was very similar. The divalent ions Mg2+ and Ca2+ improved transformation frequency. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
