Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 52-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of hypercalcemia.She was well until several months previously, when polyuria and polydipsia developed. Ten days before entry there was the onset of cough, fever, progressive weakness, lethargy, muscle cramps, constipation and polyarthralgia. Six days later she entered another hospital, where she was found to be confused and dyspneic, with rales at both lung bases. The temperature was 36.9°C. The urine gave a +++ test for protein; the sediment contained 10 white cells, numerous red cells and ++++ bacteria per high-power field. The hematocrit was 38.6 per cent; . . .Keywords
