Abstract
Electric shock was administered to a severely retarded adolescent who weighed only 45 lb. and whose survival was in question. He was shocked over a period of 7 wk. whenever he attempted to vomit. The vomiting response was practically eliminated and remarkable weight gain occurred during the treatment phase and during the 3-mo. follow-up period. Keywords
