Abstract

Léger is a six-rowed spring feed barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) with very high yield, high test weight and large kernels. It is a mid-season cultivar well adapted to Eastern Canada. Breeder seed of Léger is maintained by Ottawa Research Station, Agriculture Canada.Key words: Hordeum vulgare, PGR 12229, six-rowed spring feed barley, high yield, strong straw
