Abstract
We have studied the effects of Intal in children in a number of ways including the measurement of peak expiratory flow rate twice daily at home, the response to physical exercise on a cycle ergometer or running and challenge by histamine. In addition we have made detailed clinical observations on the children. We are attempting to use the ability of Intal to block exercise or histamine induced bronchoconstriction in order to predict the likely clinical effectiveness of the drug. Keywords
