Abstract
Animals were run on a treadmill at an avg. speed of 1V2-2.0 miles/hr. for 4 consecutive hrs. on 5-6 successive days while receiving a daily intramuscular injection of 30 mg. of histamine-base in beeswax. The incidence of gastroduodenal ulceration was significantly increased in, the fatigued dogs. Treadmill induced fatigue was demonstrated to reduce the total HC1 output from pouches both under basal fasting conditions and after an artificial stimulus of secretion (aqueous histamine) due principally to a reduction in the vol. of fluid secreted. Keywords
