Homeomorphy, and a remarkable illustration

Abstract
"The phenomenon of homeomorphy is briefly considered and the wider usage of the term in preference to the commonly misused word 'mimicry' is urged. Some typical examples of homeomorphy are cited and the remarkable heterochronous brachiopod homeomorphs Tetractinella and Cheirothyris are discussed and illustrated." Tetractinella Bittner 1890 and Cheirothyris Rollier 1919 are based on Terebratulites trigonellus Schlotheim 1820 from the Jurassic limestones and from a middle Triassic (Muschelkalk) horizon at Tarnowice, Silesia.
