Abstract
Preparations of Laspeyresia pomonella (L.) sex attractant, trans-8, trans-10-dodecadien-1-ol, of varying degrees of isomeric purity were tested for male attractiveness in the field. The purest attractant preparation was far superior to those containing the other 3 geometrical isomers. The geometrical isomers of the attractant were not very attractive to codling moth males and appeared to inhibit male response when mixed with the attractant. Keywords
