Anomalous Kondo Effect in CeCu6-xAgx Alloys

Abstract
CeCu6 is an established heavy Fermion system which does not exhibit either magnetism or superconductivity down to 20mK. The electrical resistivity shows a logarithimic temperature dependence at high temperature and resistivity maximum at 13K. We have shown that this resistivity maximum is a sensitive function of the Copper conduction band. In this paper we show that the coherent Kondo effect observed in CeCu6 is much more sensitive Copper susbtitution by Silver rather than the rare earth substitution for Ce in CeCu6.
