Abstract
High-energy (100-keV) grazing-incidence electron diffraction is proposed and analyzed as a technique for determining quantitatively the structure of surfaces. It is shown that, under suitable conditions, the Bragg scattering from the surface may be interpreted in terms of weak-scattering theory and a known electrostatic potential for the interaction of high-energy electrons with core electrons. Keywords
