Abstract
The innervation of the developing and functional periodontal ligament was studied in unerupted and functional teeth of marmosets. Somatic afferent nerve fibers enter the periodontal ligament after the tooth has erupted into the oral cavity and become prominent when the tooth is in clinical occlusion. Keywords
