Giant serpentine intracranial aneurysm after carotid ligation

Abstract
A case is reported of a giant aneurysm of the intracavernous portion of the left internal carotid artery that was treated initially with a left common carotid artery ligation. The aneurysm was partially removed 6 mo. During this time the development and evolution of thrombus formation, a serpentine channel and a hypervascular capsule were easily followed with repeated computerized tomography and angiography of the aneurysm.
