Synthesis of broadband microwave transistor amplifiers

Abstract

The design of broadband microwave transistor amplifiers is discussed in terms of direct synthesis of distributed commensurate matching networks. Examples are given for both single-stage and 2-stage amplifiers, using ladder networks realisable in stripline form.
