Abstract
The Lurie-Postnikov problem—‘ what are the necessary and sufficient conditions for the absolute stability of time-invariant Lurie-Postnikov systems ? ’— is solved by the (second) Liapunov method. It is also used for solving the Aizerman problem ‘under what necessary and sufficient conditions a Lurie-Postnikov system is absolutely stable on a sector as soon as the associated linear system is stable on the same sector ?’ The obtained results provide the explanation of the Aizerman conjecture failure. Keywords
